Robert Mckrill

Robert McKrill, 93, passed away on March 10, 2023 at his home in Mentor, OH surrounded by family.

He was born on June 13, 1929 in Lansing, MI. He graduated from Mentor High School in 1947. He was a plasterer by trade and built a successful general contracting business, Mentor Ridge Co., with his two sons. He attended Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church for over 50 years.

He was married to his wife, Clara McKrill (née Searle), for 71 years. Together they raised their four children: Gary (Bonnie) McKrill, William (Karen) McKrill, Bonnie (Don) Tillery, and Cynthia (Richard) Dorsey. He was the beloved grandfather of Robert (Haley) McKrill, Kyle (Alicia) McKrill, Christopher (Jessica) McKrill, Courtney (Brent) Rudd, Michael (Amanda) McKrill, Thomas McKrill, John (Jennifer) Tillery, Joseph (Melissa) Tillery, Jennifer (Dan) Csontos, Richard (Amelia) Dorsey, Monica (Alan) Price, and James (Ana) Dorsey. He was lovingly known as “Papa Bunny” to his 33 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Paul (Bonnie) McKrill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton McKrill and Helen Post, and his brother, Dale McKrill.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Family will receive friends 10-11 AM Tuesday, prior the service at the funeral home.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church, 727 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077.
