Robert E. Speroff

Mass of Christian Burial for Robert E. Speroff, 92, of Willoughby, will be at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 29840 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe. Please meet directly at the Church on Saturday.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Speroff passed away peacefully while in the company of family on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Willowick.

Born May 22, 1924 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Lake County resident.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Willoughby and was an avid bowler, golfer, Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers fan. He enjoyed playing and calling BINGO, and most especially loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Mr. Speroff was employed as truck driver for General Electric Corporation, at the Ravenna Lamp Plant. He retired in 1986 after 42 years of service. One of his fondest memories was delivering a special load of lamps for the re-lighting of the Statue of Liberty.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Patricia (Hillwig) Speroff; son, Robert A. (Joann) Speroff and daughter, Diana (Frank) Mulac; grandchildren, Ryan Speroff, Brandon Speroff, Alexandra Mulac and Mackenna Mulac and brother, Donald (Dolores) Speroff. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Rose (Klir) Speroff; brother, Louis and sisters, Evelyn, Emily and Dorothy.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery following the Mass on Saturday.
