Ronald Richard Gidley

Funeral services for Ronald Richard Gidley, 83, of Seville, will be at 11 AM on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the funeral home. Mr. Gidley passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at his home. Born September 6, 1942 in Willoughby, Ohio, he lived in Hambden Township for 42 years and, after the passing of his wife in 2019, moved to Seville to live with his daughter, where he was lovingly cared for and surrounded by family. He was a member of LifeHouse Church in Leroy Township. He was the owner and operator of Master Auto Body for over 40 years, proudly serving the community through his car repair business. He loved nature and found peace and joy in the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in his family. He was known for his steady presence, kind heart, and deep love for those closest to him. Survivors are his son, Shawn (Brittany) Gidley; daughters, Ann-Margret (Jem Solomon) Gidley and Tasha-Lee (Matthew) Parham; and grandchildren, Bea Elizabeth, King Jem Amadeo, and Maggie Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Mayflower (Jewell) Gidley; his parents, Wayne and Sally (Covill) Gidley; his brothers, Wayne Gidley and Kenneth Gidley; and his sister, Patricia White. Ron’s final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Monday.
