Private family services have been held for Rosalie J. Ward, 69, of Willoughby.

Mrs. Ward passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at Hospice House in Cleveland, surrounded in love by her family.

She was born July 29, 1943 in Jerryville, West Virginia.

Mrs. Ward was a homemaker, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Willoughby. She was an outstanding cook and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors are her sons, George D. (Lori) Ward, Jr. of Kirtland and Richard E. (Tara) Ward, Sr. of Willoughby; grandchildren, George III, Hallie and Lindsay of Kirtland and Richard Jr. “Ricky”, Ryann and Michael of Willoughby; and sisters, Lucille “Lucy” Blessi of St. Louis, MO, Carolina Sterner of Alexandria, VA, Patricia “Pat” Pacifico of Long Island, NY and Julie Grizzell of Cleveland. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, George D. Ward, Sr., on March 6, 1990. Her parents, Joseph and Congetta Mazzella; sisters,Yolanda “Eula” Romano, Elizabeth “Libby” Vitale, Clara Mazzella and Anna Mazzella; and brother, Nick Mazzella, are also deceased.
