Ruby E. Rigsby

Services for Ruby E. Rigsby, 84, of Willoughby, will be at 10 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rigsby passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Willoughby, surrounded by her family.

Born February 2, 1934 in Jonesville, VA, she has lived in Willoughby for the past
60 years.

She was a member of the Willoughby (Browning) Senior Center. She was an avid volleyball player, enjoyed bowling, walking with friends and swimming.

Survivors are her children, Robert Rigsby, Jr. and Carolyn Rigsby (fiancée, Mark Kamis); grandchildren, Amy Rigsby-Collister, Derek (Kristy) Rigsby, Michael (Beth) Rigsby, Jr., Nicole (Dale) Rigsby-Cheek, Andrea (Josh) Palmer and Rachel (Tyler) Musser; great-grandchildren, Emily Collister, Chase Rigsby, Chasmine Rigsby; Gwendolyn Palmer, Ezekiel Palmer, Brandon Collister, Holly Musser, Vanessa Musser, Teagan Cheek, Cayden Cheek, Devin Rigsby and Aiden Rigsby and sisters, Flora Sutphin, Bee Rigsby, Phoebe Rines, Rosalind Miles and Jessie Snodgrass. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families and her former grandson-in-law, Ronald Collister.

She was preceded in death by her husband 66 years, Robert Rigsby, Sr. on December 25, 2006 and her son, Michael D. Rigsby on July 30, 2000. Her parents, Alexander and Emma Lee (Hall) Miles and siblings, Dorothy Seabolt, William Miles and Joseph Miles are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a local food bank.
