Services for Russell C. Brink, 99, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the funeral home.
Mr. Brink passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon.
Born April 30, 1922 in Lockvale, PA, he was raised in Aultman, PA and has lived in Mentor for more than 55 years.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the 339th Infantry Division during World War II. He was a member of Lakeland Baptist Temple in Eastlake, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1500 and American-Legion Palmer-Roberts Post 214 in Willoughby, and Eastgate Lodge 796 Free and Accepted Masons.
Mr. Brink was employed as a machinist at the former Eaton Axle Corporation in Cleveland.
Survivors are his daughter, Judy Crain (Louis Konery); grandchildren, Dawn (Al) Mansfield, David (Jessica) Crain, Heather (Mark) Beck, Mindy (Chris) Meyer, Candice (Bill) Roach and Brian Konery; great-grandchildren, Aedyn, Gabe, Alivia, Emme, Zachary, Branden, Melanie, Gage, Gabrielle, Gwen, Graydyn, Vayda, Macie, Brodie and great-great granddaughter, Annabelle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred in 2015 and his son, Russell Brink in 1990. His parents, Albert and Elsie (Brady) Brink, granddaughters, Keri and Tammy Brink and brothers, John, Edward, Ernest and sisters, Leona, Dorothy, Flo are also deceased.
Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
