Ruth Catherine Deike

Private services were held for Ruth C. Deike, 90, of Willoughby.
Ruth passed away March 21, 2018 in Wickliffe. She was born December 13, 1927 in Cleveland.
She was a seamstress and union steward for H. Goodman for 24 years. She loved crafting, painting, crocheting, and travelling. She enjoyed volunteering at the Willoughby Sr. Center, Lake West Hospital and The Irish American Club East side. She was also a den mother and Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Tom) Foster; son, James (Vicki) Deike; son-in-law, Charles Mominey; grandchildren, Beth Anne Hodge, Donovan Foster, Matthew Foster, and James Deike; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Myla Hodge. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Deike; son, Robert J. Deike; daughter, Barbara Mominey; parents, Boyd and Mary Rayner. Her brother, Lawrence Rayner and her sister, Annabelle Wells also preceded her in death.
Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
