Ruth A. Macdougall (Hemmings)

Services for Ruth A. (Hemmings) MacDougall, 85, of Mayfield Heights, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Mayfield Church United Methodist, 7747 Mayfield Road, Chesterland.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 and also from 10-11 AM on Wednesday morning, prior to the service, at the Church.

Mrs. MacDougall passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born February 14, 1940 in Monongahela, PA she has lived in Mayfield Heights since 1973.

She was a member of the former South Euclid / Hillcrest United Methodist Church. She loved to bake. Her Christmas gifts were always cookies.

Survivors are her husband of 66 years, John L. MacDougall and daughter, Elizabeth A. MacDougall; sisters, Carol Lee and Donna Pokey and brother, Lee Hemmings. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (Harrington) Hemmings; brothers, John, Dave, Herb, Harold, Donald, George, Richard, Paul and Robbie and sisters, Shirley Seighman, Mary Pohts and Alice Ingram.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery following the service on Wednesday.
