Ruth V. Schwartz

Services for Ruth V. (Werman) Schwartz, 91, of Wickliffe, will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schwartz passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born March 13, 1930 in Euclid, she has lived in Wickliffe for the past 55 years.

She was a member of the former Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eastlake, where she had been very active with the church food pantry. She also enjoyed crocheting and was known for her stuffed animals and blankets. She was a very beautiful, kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Schwartz was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. James Potocnik in Mayfield Heights.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Fred “Dick” Schwartz; children, Fred (Debby) Schwartz, Jr., Melissa (Joseph) Piscitello, Robin Schwartz and Tracy (Michael) Schwartz; grandchildren, Michael Schwartz, Stephanie Saviano, Noelle, Sofia and Ava Piscitello and Kara Rose Tigelman. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Elizabeth (Heiser) Werman and siblings, Emil, Fred, Phil and Violet.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
