Services for Samuel W. “Magic Sam” Kopacka, Sr., 86, of Willowick, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
The use of masks and observance of social distancing will be required at the funeral home.
Mr. Kopacka passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
Born January 12, 1935 in Uniontown PA he has lived in Willowick since 1977.
He enjoyed polka dancing and was known as a jack-of-all-trades, a handyman and was also a member of the
Sons of the American Legion Post 678 Willowick-Eastlake and a member of the Eastlake JFK Senior Citizens Center.
Mr. Kopacka was employed as a machinist, most recently at Cleveland Steel Tool Company.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, his angel, Easter (Ferguson) Kopacka; son, Sam (Margaret) Kopacka, Jr. and daughter, Rose Hill; grandchildren, Katelyn, Kenny and Tanya and their families and sister, Pauline Kovolew. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pauline Kopacka and siblings, George, Emil, Andy, Albina and Helen.
Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens following the service on Tuesday.
