Sandra L. Gessic, affectionately known as Sandy to her family and friends, was born on May 14, 1944, in Willoughby, Ohio. She was raised in Willoughby and graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1962.

Sandy met the love of her life, Jim Gessic, and they were married in Spartan, North Carolina, in 1964. Together, they built a loving family and raised two sons, James (Hope) and Stephen “Scott” (Kerry). Sandy’s greatest joy came from her family, including her five cherished grandchildren; Stephen Scott Jr. (Sarah), Jonathan, Aaran (Michelle), Alexandria (Spencer) and Morgan Gessic and her four beloved great-grandchildren, Felicity “Minh,” Jonah, Myra, and James. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

Sandy was born to Edith and Andrew Roth. She now joins her parents, her brothers Jack and Billy Roth, and her sisters, Camilla Succi, June Kiepert, Jeanne Baker, and Louella Gribbons in eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Inc., in Willoughby, followed by a funeral service at 7 P.M.
