Shirley Romaine Yates

Funeral services for Shirley Romaine Yates, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Davis - Babcock Funeral Home. 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio. The Rev. Hank D. Williams of Mentor East Heisley Church of God will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, prior to the service.

Shirley died in the comfort of her home November 11, 2021 after a long battle with declining
health.

Shirley was a hard worker and gave of herself endlessly. She loved being surrounded by her
family. Her genuine love and affection touched all who had the privilege to know her.

She was a long-standing member of Mentor East Heisley Church of God. She stood solid in her faith. When she was no longer able to attend church services, she always looked forward to frequent visits from Rev. Hank Williams.

Shirley leaves behind three daughters, Lynn Wortman, Vicky Trumble and Billie Hundley and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; Richard Wortman and J.C. Yates. Also two
daughters; Linda Wortman and Terri Grey.

Final resting place at Knollwood Cemetery, 1678 SOM Center Rd. Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

There will be a luncheon immediately following the services at Bob Evans Restaurant, 7680 Reynolds
Road, Mentor, Ohio.
