Sophie M. Santee

Services for Sophie M. (Tatalovich) Santee, 98, of Willoughby, will be at 10 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Santee passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her home in Willoughby.

Born August 27, 1924 in Townville, PA, she was a longtime Mentor resident, before moving to Willoughby several years ago.

Mrs. Santee worked and managed many businesses, including Santee Bus Lines, Lakefront Lines, The Study Center and A & A Childcare.

She was a loving, caring and compassionate mom, not only to her two children, but to anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. Her hospitality, her joy of cooking, baking, and her love and commitment to family will always be cherished.

Survivors are her daughter, Anne Santee; grandchildren, Dan (Laurie) Santee and Mandy (Doug) Haws and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur and her son, Gary. Her parents, Ralph and Sarah (Mamula) Tatalovich, four sisters and two brothers are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Saturday.
