Stuart Martin

Services for Stuart B. Martin, Sr., 88, of Eastlake, will be at 11 AM Monday, March 5, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Mr. Martin passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Lake West Medical Center. Born December 7, 1923 in Clover Run, WV, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 54 years. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, working crossword puzzles, word searches and spending time with his family. Mr. Martin was employed as a machine operator at the former Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation in Euclid for 18 years. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 68 years, Edna (Bedford) Martin; son, Joseph (Judy) Martin of Harpersfield and daughter, Joanne Martin of Mentor. He was the devoted and cherished grandfather of Kathy Kluchar, Karen Holub, Laura (Martin) Krieger, Stuart (Terri) Martin III, Joseph (Marie) Martin Jr., Margie (Tom) Owens and Jennifer (Shaun) Buckley; proud great grandfather of Sara (JT) Buck, Andrew (Stephanie) Kluchar, Melique and Jenea Epstein, Tena Nutting, Ellen Krieger, Cody and Dillon Martin, Harley and Lance Buckley, Tommy Owens and Austin Martin; several great-great grandchildren and brother, Gerald Martin of Belington, WV. He was an uncle of Crystal Bedford and is also survived by many other nieces and nephews and their families; he is also survived by his special cousin, Nola DeVilder of Parsons, WV and lots of good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Dessie (Moore) Martin; his son, Stuart B. Martin, Jr.; brothers, Asbury and Thurman Martin; sister, Audrey (Martin) Bedford and grandson, Ralph Kluchar. The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the funeral home. The Rev. Michael J. Currier of The Body of Christ Community will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
