Theodore Donald Eugene Rostocil

Memorial Service for Theodore Donald Eugene Rostocil, 87, of Mentor, will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 8125 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends 1-4 PM Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Ted passed away August 25, 2021 in Mentor. Born November 13, 1933 in Waite Hill, he has lived in Lake County his entire life.
Ted was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1957-1962. Family was very important to him. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor. He was a member of the NRA and the Fairport Rod and Reel Club. He loved to go fishing in his boat and occasionally even went to Canada to fish. He was a volunteer fireman for the Mentor Fire Department and he was very involved with the 4H Club. He worked at Shannor Air Conditioning and Heating before going to work at Diamond Shamrock in their maintenance department. He could fix anything and will be truly missed.
Survivors include his son, Eugene (Kathy Popp) Rostocil; sister, Gloria Rostocil; brother, Gordon Rostocil. He had many nieces and nephews that he cared a great deal about and loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Brooe) Rostocil in 1994; siblings, Gilmore, Winifred, Paulina, and Eva.
Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
