Thomas E. Whitfield

Services for Thomas E. Whitfield, 86, of Mentor, will be at 1 PM on Monday, May 8, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Larry A. Pozza of ShadeTree Community Church will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1PM on Monday, prior to the service.

Mr. Whitfield passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at his home.

Born October 17, 1931 in Blountstown, FL, he has lived in Mentor-on-the-Lake and Mentor for the past 56 years.

Mr. Whitfield was a retired tool and die repairman, for the former Die Cast Products in Willoughby.

Survivors are his children, Dave (Roxane) Whitfield, Jeff Whitfield, Barbara Whitfield and Robert (Cassie) Whitfield; grandchildren, Jeffery (Jaime); David, Lacey, Emily, Andrea and Ryan; six great-grandchildren and sister, Betty.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Frances N. Whitfield, on December 6, 2015. His parents, Frank and Gracie (O’Brien) Whitfield, a sister and daughter-in-law, Kendra Whitfield are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
