Services for Thomas A. Zakrajsek, 72, of Concord Township, will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Inc., 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. James R. Porostosky of Lakeshore Assembly of God Will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2017 (today), at the funeral home.
Mr. Zakrajsek passed away peacefully, at his home, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, surrounded by his family, friends and care givers from Grace Hospice.
Born May 22, 1945 in Cleveland, he has lived in Concord Township for more than 25 years.
His favorite past-time was showing his 1972 Ford Gran Torino at Lakeshore Assembly Motorsports Kar-Krunch cars shows. He also enjoyed woodworking, making pens, weightlifting and was the family handyman.
He was also a member of The IUE-CWA.
Mr. Zakrajsek was employed as a machine operator at General Electric Corporation, Tungsten Powder Plant in Euclid. He retired in 2002 after more than 35 years of service.
Survivors are his wife of 35 years, Sharon A. (Berzanske) Zakrajsek; children, Anthony T. Zakrajsek and Lisa A. Zakrajsek; and sister, Patricia Heth. He also leaves his former wife, Patricia Rossi and her son, Dominic Rossi; his cat, Bear and grand-dog, Kava.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary (Bajt) Zakrajsek and his brother, Robert Zakrajsek.
Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Friday.
