Todd Wollam Holzman, age 64, of Solon, passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2022. Born March 6, 1958 to Jerald B. Holzman and Frances L. Swerling, he grew up in Willoughby on Third Street.
Todd was a 1976 graduate of Willoughby South High School. He received his English and History Degrees from Kenyon College.
Todd was a Supervising Editor at NPR in Washington D.C. from 2000-2011. Prior to that he was a news reporter for The Miami Herald.
Todd was a gifted writer and historian. He was described by a friend as a “keeper” and that he wrote from the heart.
Survivors include his mom, Frances L. Swerling and his aunts, Ann Cheronis, Patricia Cunningham; cousins, Sherry D. Walters and Geoffrey Boyle. He leaves behind many other family members and a swarm of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerald B. Holzman; aunt, Ruperta W. Sichko; grandmother, LaWillda P. Holzman and his great-grandmother, Ruperta I. Ward.
Family will receive friends 2-4 PM Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to a charity of your choice, in Todd’s memory.
