Valeta M. Alling

Services for Valeta M. (Ebright) Alling, 87, of Mentor, will be at 10am on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Alling passed away peacefully Monday, May 27th, 2024.

Born December 11th, 1936 in Columbus, she has lived in Willowick for 39 years and Mentor for the past 20 years.

Mrs. Alling was employed in the banking industry before moving to Willowick, Ohio to raise her family. She then moved to Mentor, Ohio and built her dream home.

Mrs. Alling enjoyed flowers and gardening, bird watching, ceramics, Cleveland Browns, family holidays and parties, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and music programs, spa days for her hair and nails, theater plays, eating in or out, adventures with Linda, craft shows, festivals and always being ready for spontaneous outings. Dog mom x6, adopted terrier dogs over the years.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, John D; children, Brian (Amy) Alling and Linda (Brian) Cooper; Granddaughters Kayla Cooper, Julia Cooper and Avery Gaghan and sister, Brenda Corder. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Margaret (Reynolds) Ebright and her brother, Jack Ebright.

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
