Victor C. Ayres

Funeral services for Victor C. Ayres, 79, of Chester Township, will be at 10 AM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Township.

Mr. Ayres passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Beachwood.

Born May 5, 1936 in Willoughby, he had been a longtime Chester Township resident.

He had owned several businesses in the area. Mr. Ayres was an avid Cleveland sports fan and loved doing things with and for his grandkids.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Rita (Johnson) Ayres; children, Chris (Debbie) Ayres, Scott Ayres, Michelle (Craig) Simon, Sue (Jim) Lester and Martin (Kathleen) Ayres; grandchildren, Nicole, Emily, Mitchell, Gabriel, Torreya, Andrew, Ava, Adrian, Casey and Jimmy, as well as 2 great-grandkids; and his sister, Donna Polo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Mildred (Wantz) Ayres.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5-8 PM at the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154
Clark Ave., Willoughby.
