Vincent James Elia

A celebration of the life of Vincent James Elia, Jr., 82, of Mentor, formerly of Cumberland, will be from 1-5 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Vince and Barb’s home in Mentor.

Mr. Elia passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home.

Born April 13, 1935 in Albany, NY, he was a longtime Cleveland Heights resident before moving to Cumberland to enjoy retirement. He moved to Mentor several months ago to be near his family.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Knapp) Elia; children, Barbara McCauley, Vincent (Leslie) Elia, III, Julie Connell, Tina (Dave) Hunsinger, Andrew (Elizabeth) Elia and Mary Kay (Brad) Ruffener; 18 grandchildren and eight great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 5966 Heisley Road, Mentor, OH 44060.
