Virginia S. Wright

Memorial services for Virginia S. “Ginger” Wright, 73, of Cleveland, will be at 11 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Bible Community Church, 8600 Lakeshore Boulevard, Mentor. Pastor Denny Hoynes will officiate at the service.

Ginger passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born May 30, 1943 in Asheville, NC, she has lived in Cleveland for the past 57 years.

She was a member of Bible Community Church in Mentor, and an avid supporter and encourager of the Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue. She had a deep and abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, and lived out her love for Him daily. She cared deeply for her family and showed it by doing all those things no one really likes but has to be done. She was the first one in any gathering to go wash dishes, clean, or do laundry. She had a quick wit, loved a good laugh, and knew how to encourage when someone was feeling down. She never had much, but was generous with what she did have. She adored animals, but dogs were her favorite, especially Shelties, and did everything she could to support the Sheltie rescue.

Survivors are her sister, Flora Rains and nieces Nancy Haney, Melissa (nee Rains) Johnson (David), nephew-in-law Nick Theodosion, and great-nieces, Callie Theodosion, Sophia Theodosion, and great-nephew Daniel Theodosion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jennings Bryan and Sallie (McAbee) Wright Whitley and her beloved dog, Megan (and many pets).
