Memorial services for Wallace L. Pepin, 95, will be at 2:30 PM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 PM, prior to the service.
Wallace L. Pepin went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2013.
He was born March 3, 1917 in Euclid.
Mr. Pepin attended Euclid High School and his primary goal in life was to honor and serve his Lord and savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Erieside Church on the Boulevard in Willowick, where he taught the high school class. He was a member of the Christian Business Men’s Committee and an original founder and trustee of radio station WCRF-FM. He also served as a Trustee of the former Huron Road Hospital.
He served as Chairman of the Men’s Committee for 1972 Billy Graham Cleveland crusades. He also served on the Board of Elders of the Chapel, which is now Parkside Church, in Bainbridge Township. He served as chairman of the board of the Cleveland City Mission for several years, and was also a trustee of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, IL, for 13 years. In 1975, he received the Religious Heritage of America Award for Manufacturing by the Heritage Foundation of America
Mr. Pepin joined the White Trucks Division in 1936 as a Parts Clerk. He held many positions within the company and was appointed President of the White Trucks Division of the former White Motor Company in 1971.
Survivors include his daughter, Patt Lutwen of Toledo; sons, Tim Pepin (Kathi) of Solon, and Dave Pepin (Lola) of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Renee (Tony) French; David Pepin; Tom (Jenny) Pepin; Nikki Trumbull and Dennis (Karen) Lutwen and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Delores, his parents and siblings.
Private interment will be held at the South Kirtland Cemetery.
