Werner Boos

Services for Werner Carl Boos, 85, of Willowick, will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Erieside Church on the Boulevard, 221 E. 320th St. at Lakeshore Blvd., Willowick. Mr. Boos passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Manor Care Health Services, in Willoughby. Born November 19, 1926 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Willowick resident. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He was also a member of Erieside Church Mr. Boos retired from Republic Steel and LTV after 36 years of employment. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Marion (Thulin); sons, Robert (Kathy) Boos of Euclid, Marc Boos of Gates Mills, Brian Boos of Willowick and Barry (Alice) Boos of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Matthew (Lori), Robert, Allison and Brandon Boos, Kristy (Michael) Murray and Becky (Scott) Race and great-grandchild, Adeline Margaret Race. He is also survived by brother, Walter (Jean), sister-in-law Mary Ann Boos and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents, Fred and Emily and brother Fred. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday, July 9, at the Erieside Church on the Boulevard. The Davis-Babcock Funeral Home of Willoughby is assisting the family.
