Private family services have been held for William S. Bryan, Sr., 74, of Mentor.
Mr. Bryan passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born February 4, 1940 in Jobs, Ohio he was a longtime Mentor resident.
He was a United States Army veteran, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking and photography.
Mr. Bryan was a machine operator at the former TRW Valve Division in Cleveland. He retired in 2002 after more than 38 years of service.
Survivors are his children, William S. Bryan, Jr. of Austinburg; Brenda J. Breckenridge of Martinsville, IN; Betty A. Wiesinger of Oberlin and Monica M. Waterman of Mentor; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Bryan and Betty Masten. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mildred L. Bryan on August 1, 2006. His parents, Kenneth and Garnett (Bateman) Bryan, sister, Norma Wilson and brother, Kenneth Bryan are also deceased.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
