William E. Crosier, Sr.

William E. Crosier, Sr., a dedicated public servant, passed away peacefully on July 14., 2025. Private family services have been held.

Chief Crosier served many years as police officer for the City of Willoughby, rising up through the ranks to become Chief of Police, and later concurrently serving as Chief of the Willoughby Fire Department.. After his retirement from the City of Willoughby, he served for several years as Chief Deputy for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. He served more than 50 years in public service.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Betty; daughter, Cynthia (Mike) Stelbotsky and their families and son, William Crosier, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Mary Crosier, his daughter, Pamela Leavitt and son, Robert Crosier.
