William Crysler

A celebration of the life of William Crysler, 82, of Lake County, will be at 4 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Mentor Beach Park Pavilion, 7779 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor-on-the-Lake.

Mr. Crysler passed away December 21, 2014 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Twp.

Born April 13, 1932 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Lake County resident.

He enjoyed boating, was an avid car enthusiast, loved the Cleveland Browns,(but not always how they played), and in general had a passion for industrial design; he loved figuring out how mechanical things worked and how they could be made better. He really loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their special events.

Mr. Crysler was an engineer at the former Coe Manufacturing in Painesville for 48 years, retiring in 2001.

Survivors include his daughters, Laura Anthony of New Philadelphia, Amy (Marc Baniszewski) Crysler of Cleveland, and Jodi (Steve) Poremba of Mentor; grandchildren , Keith and Matthew Anthony, Spencer and Andersen Baniszewski, and Kelsey and Sydney Poremba; great-grandchildren, Caine and Cooper Anthony; sisters, Jeanne Crysler and Glenna Kadet both of Concord Township. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families and his faithful companion, Shadow.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, in 2010 and his brothers Allen and Jack Crysler.

The family will receive friends 2-4 PM on Sunday at Mentor Beach Park Pavilion, prior to the service. Private family burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Bill would have wanted contributions to be made to Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park, Lake Metroparks, 11211 Spear Road, Concord Twp., OH 44077. This is where he enjoyed many summer sunsets.
