William passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Eastlake. He was born November 8, 1957 in Euclid.
Bill was kind-hearted, devoted to his family, and was a lifelong friend to many. He enjoyed family vacations every summer, gardening, and visiting with his many friends. He was one of the hardest workers you could ever meet. In his desire to help family, friends, and neighbors, he willingly and consistently chose the dirtiest and toughest jobs for himself. After having been a driver for Coyne Textile, Bill found his true calling when he began a career in disaster recovery at RestorX MD, which combined his innate problem-solving ability with a readiness to work long hours in difficult conditions in order to assist someone in need. His career was cut short by devastating health problems. Bill persevered through continuing health struggles, never letting them keep him down for long.
Survivors include his mother, Arleen J. Engle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Terry Slawson and Kathy and Dan Philipps; nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Joshua, Dustin, Alyssa, Mathew, Destiny, and Lucas and aunt, Sharon Wagley. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Toby.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley W. “Bud” Engle, Jr.
Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.
