William F. Fisher

Services for William F. Fisher, 92, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 Noon on Tuesday, prior to the service.

Mr. Fisher passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Brookdale at Willoughby.

Born April 13, 1926 in Cleveland, he was the only child of the late Frederick T. and Daisy LaTessie (Sylvester) Fisher. He has lived in Willoughby Hills for the past 55 years.

He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and was a member of Maplegrove Alliance Church in Willoughby Hills. He graduated from the former Fenn College of Engineering, (now Cleveland State University) with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and was a member and past president Lambda Iota Delta fraternity. He was also a member of Lakewood Lodge 601 F. &. A.M. and was recently awarded a 70-year membership award.

Mr. Fisher was employed at the former Gould, Inc. as an engineer until his retirement. His career allowed him to travel the world, and while traveling, he enjoyed taking pictures and sharing his experiences with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors are his children, Robert W. (Pamela) Fisher, Norma J. Fisher (Bill Covino) and Douglas T. Fisher and grandchildren, Geoffrey and Nicholas Johnson and Eric and Erin Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fern (DeArment) Fisher in 1996.

Final resting place will be in Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River following the service on Tuesday.
