William H. Heckler

Memorial services for William H. Heckler, 95, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Saint Bartholomew Episcopal Church, 435 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Village. The Rev. Stephen Secaur, Rector, will officiate at the service.

Mr. Heckler passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

Born December 15, 1920 in Cleveland, he has lived in Lake County since 1947, the last 30 years in Willoughby.

He was a very active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Willoughby before transferring his membership to Saint Bartholomew Episcopal Church in 2001.

He was a United States Army Air Corps World War II veteran, and served with the Fifth Air Force in the South Pacific Theatre. and a former member of the National Association of Accountants.

Mr. Heckler was employed as an accountant at the Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe. He retired in 1984 after 30 years of service.

Survivors are his son, William J. (Lora) Heckler of Seven Hills and daughter, Holly H. Rolf of Solon; grandchildren, Jason (Theresa), Heidi, Savannah and Jackson Rolf and Zachary Forrester. He also leaves his former son-in-law, John Rolf.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Orosz Heckler on April 18, 2013. His parents, Chester W. and Cora (Simpson) Heckler and sister, Janet Diefendorf are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 9 - 11 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the church.
