William J. Malovrh, Sr.

Services for William J. Malovrh, Sr., 84, of Willowick, will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 PM on Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Malovrh passed away Monday, May 27, 2024.

Born December 3, 1939 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willowick for the past 54 years.

He was a member of Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Willowick, and served as a firefighter / EMT for the Willowick Fire Department for 24 years, retiring in 2003. He was also employed as typesetter for the former Bowne of Cleveland Printing Company for more than 40 years.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Wilson); son, William J. (Catina) Malovrh, Jr. and daughter, Melissa Culmer; grandchildren, William J. Malovrh, III, Tyler D. Malovrh, Payton R. Malovrh, Matthew G. Malovrh, Nathan R. Culmer, Owen P. Culmer and Mia A. Culmer and siblings, Frank, James, Mary and Frances. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary (Janz) Malovrh and sister, Antoinette.

Private family interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
