Private graveside services were held for William Drew McGiffin, 53, of Painesville.
Bill passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 after a long illness.
Born November 22, 1960 and was a lifelong Lake County resident.
He was a 1979 graduate of Mentor High School and served in the United States Coast Guard.
He is survived by his children, William R. and Megan P. McGiffin and their mother, Lisa Van Shie, all of Mentor; his mother, Katherine Y. McGiffin of Mentor; brothers, John (Kim) McGiffin of Auburn Twp. and Dale (Jennifer) McGiffin of Concord Twp.; sister, Paula McGiffin of Euclid; nephews, Neil, Scott and Sam McGiffin and niece, Sydney McGiffin.
He was preceded in death by his father, William E. McGiffin.
The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th Street, Cleveland, OH 44115.
