William C. Mitchell

Services for William C. Mitchell, 79, of Mentor, will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 37728 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Robert D. Schuler and Rev. Ronald Fletcher will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Friday.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Mitchell passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born February 8, 1937 in Cleveland, he has lived in Mentor for more than 50 years.

He was a United States Army Veteran, an avid outdoorsman and coin collector.

Mr. Mitchell was employed at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant before his retirement.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Sandra (Fletcher) Mitchell; son, William (Sharon) Mitchell; grandchildren, Brandon W., Nicholas D. and Brielle D. Mitchell and brother, Ken Mitchell of Concord Township.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lulu (Young) Mitchell; sister, Dolores Schmidt and brother, Don Mitchell.
