William "Mr. Nasty" Niedermeyer

A service to celebrate the lives of William, Jr. and Mary Ann Niedermeyer will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 32410 Willowick Drive, Willowick. The Rev. Donald P. Beaumont will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Niedermeyer passed away on January 21, and Mr. Niedermeyer passed away on February 15, 2024.

Mary Ann was born March 24, 1946 and William was born August 17, 1942, both in Cleveland. They have lived in Willowick for the past 56 years.

Mr. Niedermeyer’s hobbies involved trains and playing Santa; he also participated in the Turkey Bowl one year. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and taking care of her cats.

William was employed at the former National Acme Corporation in Cleveland and Mary Ann worked at the former Horton’s Nursery and Gale’s Garden Center.

Survivors are their daughter, Yvonne and her furry kids, Bailey and Blossom; Bill’s sisters, Jean Niedermeyer and Christina (Charles) Palmer; Mary Ann’s brother, Martin Smoley. They also leave many nieces and nephews and their families.

They were preceded in death by Bill’s parents, William, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hlvach) Niedermeyer; Mary Ann’s parents, Joseph, Sr. and Mary (Avsec) Smoley; her brother, Joseph Smoley, Jr. and her sister-in-law, Anna Marie Smoley.

Private family interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
