Services for William M. Solomon, 92, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 1 PM on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland. The Rev. David G. Woost will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mr. Solomon passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his own home.
Born December 28, 1925 in Fly, Ohio, he has lived in Willoughby Hills for the past 48 years.
He is a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II and a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local 16 in Painesville.
Mr. Solomon was a mason and bricklayer by trade.
Survivors are his children, William G. (Adrienne) Solomon and Kimberly (Rick) Kojan and granddaughters, Samantha and Christine. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Shirley (Davis) Solomon. His parents, Mose and Sarah (Abraham) Solomon; brother, Edward Solomon and sisters, Lucille Klos, Maleah Hagel, Rosemary Mullen, Betty Anderson and Eleanore Solomon are also deceased.
Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
