Winona passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Cardinal Woods Nursing Home in Madison Township. Her faith enabled her to live above her chronic illness.

Born August 7, 1953 in Cleveland, she was raised in Mentor, graduated from the former Andrews School for Girls in 1972 and Lakeland Community College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in 1973 and also from Edinboro State University in Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Art Education in 1975. She later earned a Special Education Teacher Certification from Crotched Mountain School in Greenfield, New Hampshire.

As a young adult, Winona worked as a counselor at several Girl Scout Camps, including locations in New England and remained active in Girl Scouts through her high school years, especially enjoying swimming and canoeing.

Winona was an artist, teacher, counsellor and treasured her friendships and relationships with many individuals throughout her life. She enjoyed the beauty of nature and being a part of it.

Relocating to Monadnock, New Hampshire in October, 1976, she worked at facilities for handicapped adults and youth, in group homes and also at the Crotched Mountain Foundation, a special education school, and Psalm 33, Inc. from 1977-1999.

In her midlife, she became the beloved bride of Henry Webber on November 25, 1993. After her marriage, she and Henry returned to New England for a while, living in Maine for five years and returning to Northeast Ohio in 2006 to be near her mother.

Winona is survived by her husband, Henry; father, William R. Boyd, Jr., sister, Beverly (George) Nash and brother, William R. (Laura) Boyd and their families.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine (Montz) Boyd on July 31, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Cardinal Woods Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund, 6831 Chapel Road, Madison, OH 44057.
